Say You're Mine ~Neko~

Intetsu laughed a little. "Yeah right. Who would love me? I'm a host remember? Someone to be used and discarded. Who would want something broken?" He was hoping Karyu but why would a handsome powerful yakuza, the boss of the yakuza no less, want a broken host like him? Why would anyone want him? He was pathetic...ugly...useless...he wasn't good enough to be an escort. He wasn't good enough to have regulars. He wasn't good enough for Karyu...definitely not good for Karyu.

"I still don't even understand why you would want me as your regular host...I'm completely boggled by it but too afraid to ask because I'm terrified that if I do you'll leave."

"I love you, Intetsu...don't you know that? I want to hold you forever." He came up to him and wiped away the tears. He didn't like seeing him upset. He still didn't know why Intetsu thought so poorly of himself. Karyu really did love him and he had such a great time with Intetsu. Why didn't the blond see how much he cared.

"I want to take care of you and take you home with me. Will you come live with me?" There, he finally asked for it. This was a man who never had to ask for anything and here he was looking so hopeful.

Intetsu was so happy...and so afraid. Nothing seemed real in that moment. "Karyu...I love you. I really do. It's a feeling I'm trying my best to ignore because admitting would make everything real...and...and you have no idea how scared I am. Every day I'm scared I'll wake up and it not be real. That everything was just a dream or a game or something. If this a dream I never want to wake up to the real world. Yes...I'll move in." He was smiling as he pulled on Karyu's tie to bring him in for a kiss. If he was dreaming and in a coma from what that man did...then he didn't want to wake up. There was no way Karyu would do this twice.

"I just have one question...why me?"

Karyu kissed him back, slowly wrapping his arms around Intetsu to pull him close. He said yes! He couldn't believe it. It felt like a dream, he agreed. If it was, he, too, didn't want to wake up. This was exactly what he wanted. Someone to love who loved him back. His beautiful Intetsu. He didn't have to let go anymore.

"Don't be scared." He said, staying close. "That first night...you were so nice to me and I was interested. If I could just have you get to know me without knowing who I am and what I am that maybe there could be something. You waited for me and said it didn't matter if I was yakuza and then...I knew. You're what I want. You belong right here in my arms."

He hugged onto him, not willing to let him go. Intetsu would be his and he wouldn't have to be alone anymore. Kei cleared his throat from the door and he was standing there with the nurse to remove the IV in Intetsu's arm. Then they were good to go. Karyu led him outside and into the car. Once they were safely speeding off to his home, he pulled the blond close to kiss him again. He was so excited.

Intetsu was thrilled. He didn't mention that week when he had been with Rose. The host was hoping Rose would never pop up in their relationship. He grinned and moved closer to Karyu, letting his legs cross over his lover's. Karyu was his lover. Oh he would never get tired of that.

"I really get to come with you? What about my things? I need to get them from the club."

"Everything is already there waiting for you." He smiled and pulled a pen out of his jacket. He started drawing on the cast, his solid way of venting his excitement. He was scared to attack Intetsu with kisses and touches because he knew he wouldn't want to stop and the blond was probably still in pain. Karyu drew a lily, pretty well, actually. He smiled at it and looked up at Intetsu.

"I've never brought anyone home before..." He admitted. Technically, it was still his father's estate, but the old man had been a vegetable for almost a year. That was about how long Karyu has assumed control of the business, so it was still pretty crazy and stressful for him. But now he had something to be happy about and he didn't have to be alone anymore. He knew everything was going to work out fine.

It would be nice. To be with Karyu would be very nice. He smiled at the lily on his cast. "You are so sweet. I'll be a very good house guest. I swear~" The days passed by and soon enough Intetsu was back to normal...sort of. He wasn't a host anymore and found that Karyu was often working...a lot. But his cast was off and he was ready to explore. So one day, while in one of his very few pairs of vk pants and a putomayo shirt, he started to explore the house. The blond came across a room that he'd never been in. There were a lot of those he found out. Just this morning he located the kitchen. When he did several people got him to sit down and have a big breakfast.

Milk, orange juice, strawberries, french toast, a fully loaded omlet, bacon, and sausage. Huge. Intetsu couldn't eat it all but he thanked the kitchen staff anyway and started to wonder off again. The room he came across was on the other side of the huge house. He opened the door and found a man. A man hooked up to a bunch of machines and looking very frail. Intetsu was there next to the man...he looked a lot like Karyu only older and with graying black hair. The blond took the man's pale, ghostly hand.

"You poor man..."

"What are you doing in here?" Intetsu whirled around to see one of Karyu's bodyguards in the doorway. Uh oh...


"I-I was just exploring...I didn't mean to!" The bodyguard grabbed him roughly and all but drug him out of the room. Karyu wasn't going to be happy...the bodyguard's face told him that. The man was bruising his arm though with how hard he was holding him. He was dragging Intetsu downstairs. Apparently Karyu was home now...

Karyu did have a lot of work. There was the cover business and then the underground, yakuza dealings. Sometimes they went hand in hand. He had a four hour long shareholders meeting in the city and then got approached later about a weapons deal. Finally, he was headed home. He couldn't wait to hold Intetsu and hear all about the blond's day. He worried about leaving Intetsu alone in his big house all day. There was plenty to do, though, wasn't there? He had that fully loaded game room and the garden with the dogs and all the maids were fun and some of his bodyguards played cards and Makiko, the housekeeper, positively adored Intetsu and would make sure he had anything he wanted.

He came in and he went right to his office. He had some paperwork to file away before taking the rest of the evening to be with his lover. There was a harsh knock at the door and he sighed. He really didn't want anymore work.

"Come in." He said. One of his bodyguards came in, dragging Intetsu behind him. Karyu's face flared anger. "You unhand him NOW."

"My lord...he was snooping around the south wing...I found him in your father's chambers." The guard didn't like the anger on Karyu's face, since it appeared to be directed at him, instead of Intetsu.

"Get your hands off him and leave. I'll take care of this." He glared until the guard left. A sigh passed his lips and he went over to Intetsu, lifting up his arm to look at the bruise.

"Are you alright?" His voice was significantly softer than how he spoke to the guard. His eyes were soft, too, and there was the essence of a smile. He wanted to hold Intetsu and hear his laugh.

Intetsu looked at the bruise and sighed. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to pry. I was just curious...who is that man?" The ex-host was worried Karyu would be angry. He went into his arms and held him close.

"Please don't be mad. I was just...I wanted to explore." Intetsu nuzzled into his lover. He didn't want to screw anything up. He wanted things to be good...he wanted to make Karyu happy. He just hoped he was good enough to keep him happy...and to keep his attention.

"That was my father. He's very sick. Doctors say the chance of him waking up are slim to none. I just...I can't pull the plug. If I do...I officially have no family..." He frowned and his arms tightened around Intetsu.

"You did nothing wrong. I don't usually let anyone back there but you...I need to give you a full tour, don't I?" He ruffled Intetsu's blond hair and brought him over to the couch that was in his office. Karyu sat down and pulled Intetsu close. "Today was just a really long day..."

He had to talk to Kei soon. He wanted the ballroom cleaned out. He wanted to throw a dance. Not many would be invited, just his guards and his maids and any other loved ones they had that Kei approved. He wanted a safe place where he could dance with Intetsu. It would be fun and he wanted it to be a surprise.

Intetsu loved the sound of a tour. He was loving being close to Karyu even more.

"At least you still have your dad. My mom disappeared years ago. She loved me very much and said she was going to get dinner...then she was just...gone. I don't know what happened to her. If she died or ran away. I don't think she would have run away. My mother always said I was her greatest treasure. I just wish I knew what happened to her. At least you know exactly where your father is. It's good to have family around...Kei is like family to you isn't he? Or...maybe even me?" Intetsu was straddling Karyu's hips as he kissed him softly.

"Can I have that tour now?"

"She's still out there somewhere, though. If...when...my father dies...I'll not have family. I haven't gone in there to see him in months. He and I were never close and I just...I don't know how to respond to him being the way he is...He was the toughest man I ever knew. He wasn't the most loving parent, but he taught me everything. How can I let him go?" He hugged onto Intetsu, content to just hold him. "Kei's been around as long as I can remember. He's always been my best man. And you, well..."

He kissed Intetsu, his hands resting on the blond's hips. "You're the best."

He smiled and got up so he could show Intetsu around. It was a big house and he didn't like the idea of Intetsu just staying in one room all day because he didn't know where to go.

Intetsu smiled and let Karyu show him around. When they made it back to his father's room, the blond took Karyu's hand and led him in. He brought him over to his father and bowed slightly to the man in the bed.

"Hello sir. My name is Intetsu. I was in here earlier and I never properly introduced myself. I'm a good friend of your son's...he's been very kind to me. I brought him with me this time...I know you can't wake up but you can hear us. I think you might like to hear his voice." Intetsu laid Karyu's hand on his father's and nudged him a little. He was encouraging his lover to talk to his father.

"He may not see you Karyu...but he can hear you. If I was him, I'd want to know you're still there. Even if I'm not conscious to respond."

They ended up outside his father's door and there was a bit of an argument. Karyu didn't want to go inside. He didn't want to see his father weak and laying unconscious on a bed. Intetsu dragged him in there and Karyu just stared, his eyes welling up. Intetsu wanted him to talk to his father and Karyu shook his head. He didn't want to. The blond placed his hand on his fathers and Karyu looked down at it, picking his hand up slowly. He knew the callouses. He knew the shape of his father's hand, even though he hadn't held it since he was a child. It was a detail he could never forget. A silent tear rolled down his cheek and he looked at his father's face. Could he really hear him? The doctor said he would never wake up. The nurse said to say goodbye. That was something Karyu just hadn't done yet. Saying goodbye would mean he was officially the oyabun and in charge. Everything would be his but he would be all alone. He recalled his mother's soft face and her persistence that her husband was a good man. She told Karyu to obey his father if he ever wanted to be like him.

"Oto-san..." His voice was a little shaky. "I'm sorry I haven't come to see you sooner. You always told me that a man doesn't show emotion more than necessary...I didn't want to let you down. I hope you're proud...The Daiko clan backed down and I have full control. I think you would be proud of the way I've been running the business."

He sighed a little and bit his lip. "I love you...and I do anything to make you proud of me. It's all I ever wanted...I don't want to say goodbye. I don't want to be emotional because I know you wouldn't want it to end like that..."

He wiped away his tears and bowed deeply at his father. "Goodbye, Oto-san."

Karyu walked out of the room and sunk to the floor in the hallway, crying the tears he couldn't cry in his father's presence. He felt like a boy again, crying when his father was gone so the old man wouldn't see weakness. It was too hard to say goodbye, even to harsh, persistent father. Karyu loved him anyway.

Intetsu followed Karyu and held him as he cried. He felt bad...but as the days passed by Intetsu started to spend his days with Karyu's father. Talking to him and telling him what all was going on in the world. He tried his best to let the old man know that he was still important. He was sitting reading the business section when Karyu came home. Intetsu was in his father's room like he had been everyday and the yakuza was going to have to venture into the room to find him.

"Let's see...Your cover business is up three points and your rival is down .6 points. That's good...the CEO of Goburo Corporation donated 2 million to saving the whales."

Karyu was starting to accept the fact that his father was gone. Intetsu had been helping him so much and Karyu was so glad he was there. He would have just thrown himself into his work and forgotten everything else. He had Intetsu there to be with, to remind him to eat and to sleep next to him and make him smile. He was actually happy. He wasn't alone.

The yakuza came home from a good day at the office and started looking around for his lover. Kei told him he had been sitting with his father. Karyu was confused and went down to his father's rooms, walking in to see his sweet lover reading the stock points to his unconscious father. He smiled and came up to him.

"Tetsu...what are you doing in here?" He felt anxious to be around his father. He didn't really want to be present when he passed. He wasn't sure he could take that.

Intetsu looked up and found Karyu there. "I just thought he'd want some company. Keep up with world and stuff. Know he isn't alone. You're home early...something wrong?" The lolita folded up the newspaper and stood up. He patted Karyu's father's hand softly before leaving the room with Karyu.

"Are you home for the night?...I-I was going to go out for dinner. Would you like to join me?" Today was Intetsu's birthday but no one knew. No one but himself. He hadn't planned on Karyu being home so early.

Karyu smiled and gestured him out. He was glad to be home. He had a surprise for Intetsu. He dragged him into some side stairs to get up to the second floor. "There's nothing wrong. I have something for you."

He laughed and dragged him along to their bedroom. There on the bed was a dress box and next to it a shoe box. Karyu smirked and nudged Intetsu to them.

"I have to see to something downstairs. Get dressed and meet me at the bottom of the stairs for dinner, alright?" He kissed him goodbye and then left the room. He changed in another room into a well tailored tuxedo. He did his hair up and even put on a little eyeliner. He looked amazing. He was even wearing a dark blue bow tie that matched the lining of his vest.

He was waiting at the bottom of the stairs with a lily. He had a romantic dinner planned and then onto the hall, where a party was waiting. He would waltz with his love on his birthday.

Intetsu was opening the box to find a dress. One of the most beautiful he'd ever seen. It was a dark blue with gold and so long. Silk fabric and it looked very expensive. So did the black shoes that came with it. The man was admiring the dress in the mirror, smiling happily.

"Happy Birthday Intetsu..." He added some makeup that accented his eyes and went downstairs. His eyes widened when he saw Karyu.

"Wow...Karyu. You look so...wow. What is the occasion?"

Karyu smiled as Intetsu came down the steps. The same blue silk from his tie was the blue in Intetsu's dress. He had them both specially made. He reached out to him and took his hand, pulling him close. Intetsu looked just as beautiful as he imagined he would. He brought Intetsu's hand to his lip and kissed his knuckles.

"Do I really need a reason to spoil you?" He smirked though and chuckled a little. "I do have a reason, but that's for later. Come, dinner is waiting."

He held out his arm and escorted Intetsu to the dining room. He pulled out the blond's chair before turning to his own. There was candlelight and the faint sounds of a small orchestra. Their cook, Toshi, came out of the kitchen, beaming and dressed in appropriate attire.

"Tonight I have prepared your favorite, Intetsu-san, and I hope you enjoy." He bowed deeply to them and gestured in a waiter, who had two plates. Another waiter came to pour them wine. Clearly, Karyu went to extra special measures for this.

"Wha-really?" Tempura fish, miso soup, sushi, and steamed vegetables. That was his favorite meal...and miso soup was what was set in front of him.

"You...you really went all out. Wow...I love this. You have no idea how wonderful this is...or how much it means. You couldn't have picked a better day." The ex-host beamed. He couldn't believe this was all happening on his birthday. His birthday!

"You're going to make me cry with all this."

Dinner went well and Karyu could see that Intetsu was really touched. After they were done, he took Intetsu's hand and led him out of the dining room.

"I have another gift for you." He said, kissing his cheek. He was so excited and he was hoping this was exactly what Intetsu wanted. He took him to the hall and opened the door. He brought Intetsu inside and there was an explosion of applause and cheers.

The hall was decorated wonderfully, light blue balloons and a huge banner that said 'Happy Birthday' on it. The room was full of well dressed bodyguards and maids and a few trusted others. There was even some children running around. A small orchestra was in the corner and a table loaded with presents in the other. The orchestra started playing and the room broke off into a dance. Karyu led Intetsu to the middle of the floor and started to waltz with him.

"Happy birthday, my love." He beamed.

Intetsu really did start to cry. It was so...amazing. There were people and presents and...Karyu was dancing with him! Intetsu didn't understand how he knew but he wasn't about to complain.

"How did you know? I can't believe you did all this." The blond was happily dancing around and around with Karyu. He hadn't danced so much in such a long time. He couldn't stop smiling. The evening was absolutely perfect but after three hours he was ready for something else. He leaned up to kiss him.

"I love that you did this but if you end the party and come upstairs I'll give you a present."

The party was great and everyone there seemed to really have a good time. Kei stole a dance with Intetsu and just had to comment how much Karyu adored him. Toshi brought out a cake and the whole crowd sang happy birthday to him. Karyu was so glad things went well. People left and Karyu was thanking the orchestra. Pretty soon, all that was left was a few guards and the maids who were starting to clean. Everyone was in a good mood, especially Karyu.

Intetsu kissed him and he practically chased him up the stairs. He closed the door to their bedroom and lifted Intetsu up, holding onto him as they kissed. He smiled and held him close, so happy the night went that well.

"Did you enjoy your party, Intetsu?" He smirked, carrying him over to the bed.

Intetsu caught Karyu's lips in a searing kiss as he moved to the center of the bed. "I had an amazing night. I'm hoping to end it as mind blowing. Do you care to help in that endeavor?" He smiled at the look in his lover's eyes. This was the life he wanted. The life he loved with the man he loved.

"You are so amazing. How did you know it was my birthday today anyway?"
